I forgot to mention here that I'm selling tote bags again.
You might remember the Fox... and I kindly introduce to you, the Hare.
I made a little discount code for any of you might still be keeping tabs on TS & TC, enter code SNAIL at checkout for 25% off your tote bag order!
I hope to have more designs and a couple Lawrence namesake totes in the upcoming months. It's been so slow in the shop, mostly because I've been focusing most of my attention on fixing up a little house in Massachusetts that my grandfather built in the early 50s. It all fell into place in early August and I've been covered in paint ever since. I'm back and forth from the East Village to MA, but have to admit, I've been spending the majority of my days up North. After this week I hope to shift gears from home improvement to Lawrence. There's so much to catch up on! Photos from the house and soon to come shop updates!
Brimfield started this morning. I had hopes to go every day this week. Big plans for a Tuesday through Friday clothing, furniture and carnival food filled week. But with a forecasted rain filled day, I'm still tucked into bed - staring at the weather page on my phone, and then out the window, and then back at the phone - feeling more and more guilty with each hour that passes and no rain drops.
I figured to balance out some of my guilt, I'd pay some attention to this blog. Albeit a lazy attempt with a few phone photos from this past weekend. It was a good one, and I'm already missing the Summer something awful.
. . . A certain someone once posted a handful of 1910's Home & Garden magazine covers to the internet and I still remember that blog post to this day. Pretty brunettes tending to their flower gardens in clothing that made it through the past 100 years looking easy and beautiful and exactly the kind of thing you'd want to wear. Along with the magazine covers was this caption: "I feel like someone looked into my heart and painted who i want to be these days."
I saw Dadu Shin's illustrations this morning on Rebecca's blog and it reminded me of Amy's post in that, now I can't get these girls out of my brain. Maybe it's the hair, maybe it's the clothing... But they've got me wanting a long, geometric print empire waist dress to wear, ASAP... (or maybe by Friday, please!)
Big Sur, on disposable camera film from our trip this past May. If you're planning on visiting, I really and truly recommend this website. I also recommend you walk the Pacific Valley Bluff trail at sunset. It won't disappoint, I promise.
Cottage life on the brain - practically all hours of the waking day. There's a legitimate reason for all of this, but it's probably better to share once everything's finalized! Soon, so soon! For now, a few things that've caught my eye around the internet all over on pinterest.
